Burger King To Open New Temple Restaurants

Another fast-food giant is set to claim its turf in West Temple. Burger King will open soon at West Adams Avenue and Hilliard Road.

Matthew Bars, director of operations for Ampler Burgers, said the restaurant located at 6934 W. Adams Ave. is expected to open Dec. 27.

Bars said the increase in activity in West Temple caused the company to take interest in the area.

“There is quite a bit of growth. We look at increases in population, traffic counts and where our competition is going in. It was the first of a few different sites that we looked at,” Bars said.

Nick Boyle, Ampler Burgers vice president of development and construction, said Burger King’s return to the area is long overdue.

“Temple is one of the largest cities in the United States that doesn’t have a Burger King, so we’ve been actively looking in that area for a nice site,” Boyle said. “That West Adams corridor is really growing, so we thought it made sense to go in that area.”
