Agman's philanthropic strategy closely reflects our contrarian investment philosophy.
We are guided by the wisdom of earlier generations: "God helps those that help
themselves" and "It is best to kill two birds with one stone."
- We support visionary and exceptional organizations that have the potential to
transform their fields and the world.
- We like to be involved early and to design projects that amplify the
effect of our giving.
- We work hard to identify areas and individuals appropriate for our support,
as we believe the greatest results often come from unexpected places.
For example:
When challenged to support a faltering program initiated by the Friends of the IDF, we
used our understanding of human nature to re-design a program that has become
transformational for the lives of soldiers after military service. For his
contributions on this program and others, Jeff Silverman is being honored in 2009
with the Yonatan Netanyahu Humanitarian Award.
